Trailer weight

#1 Post by JLester273 » Sat Jun 10, 2017 2:12 pm

Ohio requires trailer weight for getting tags for the trailer... So I had to go unload my trailer so I could weight it empty. I fortunately found a place close to the lake. I took my son out on it this morning and was making a fishing/weight the trailer day. On a side note the lake had a big algae bloom and looked terrible. made me sad and we didnt catch any fish. Well I didn't he caught one while I was weighing the trailer.

Anyway, I have a 1988 24 ft Harris. So the trailer is a bunk style trailer. Pretty decent but need guides and new bunks.

I was a little surprised at the weight of the trailer. 680 lbs. I figured heavier than that but that is Ohio official scale. I really figured it would be more.

Just thought I would share. I can't wait to get the guides on it. It is a pain to load now.

Dry weight of my 2016 Loadrite trailer is 1200lbs.
Trailer is dual axle and hauls a 25 ft tri-toon.
