Salt Water in center toon
I had a fair amount of salt water penetrate my center toon. I have a small leak near the nose cone. It has drained the toon but should I be concerned before welding it up?

I would get the bow up high and pull the drain plug on that toon on the aft end, get all of the water out. You should have Schrader valves on your toons, I have a Berkshire (same MFG, forest river) once the weld is completed make sure you pressure test, no more than about 3 PSI. I installed 90 degree adapters on my Schrader valves, make using an air chuck easy, then I have a digital pressure gauge which is very sensitive and accurate at the lower pressure range. spray some soapy water on the area. I had a small weld crack and repair done last week, they said it was fixed, when I tested it myself, it was not. still leaking, so back it went.

THX... I was told that section of the toon where the leak is...is sectioned off and unaffected by the plugs. It sites in front of my in floor storage locker. So basically water does not run from front to back in the center toon (per Forest River) on my 925.

I wouldn't worry if a little bit gets trapped in there. Chemical reactions can only go on for so long on with a fixed amount of ingredients. Think of when you were a kid making baking soda and vinegar volcano's, they didn't react forever only until all the reactive agents have done there thing.

Is your boat still under warranty? If so, let the dealer fix it, but double check their work.

What additional warranty? I'm interested to know what you were told, this area I have on the stern is a recurring issue, I haven't spoke with FR about it, just my dealer.
