Dirty Rotten Squirrels!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I saw back in November or so that the squirrels were playing on the boat cover, using it like a slide.
I knocked a few hulled nuts off the bow and notice one of the rats had chewed on the Bimini boot
around the cut out for the navigation lite.

Today I was out removing the home made ski tow bar that failed and I thought I would take the boot off and see just how bad it is.

Guess what time to buy a new Bimini... before this their was nothing wrong with it.





Going to take it off and to the local upholster shop and see if he make me a new top.

Sorry that happened. They will gnaw through anything seem like to find a place to breed or stay warm. Seems like I saw someone just selling the replacement covers with out having to buy the frame. West marine an overton come to mind. Let us know how you come out. Not sure if insurance would help with that, probably just hit the deductible anyway.

Yep probably less than the deductable and just give them a reason to raise the rates.

Seems like these were hand made by Bentley at their Mexico MO Plant, I was wondering if they were SunBrella's or some other brand, but looks like they are made in house.

Bruce, just happen to think, I believe I have the top the dealer removed off my toon. I had a double bimini put on and had to buy two new tops because the existing one didn't have the zipper to attach the two tops. I told the dealer to make sure and save the old one for me. The boat is still at the dealer so if your are interested let me know, and I will call and make sure it is still there. It is black also. I can ask the dealer what bentleys cost to them is also. I was just planning on keeping it but we might be able to work something out. You can PM me if you have any interest.

Stuff every opening you have on boat with mothballs. That will keep them out. Stinks but it works when your not able to watch.

That sucks Bruce. The little bastards knawed the funnel piece off my deer feeder trying to get at the corn left in the can. Ruined it within two weeks of putting it up.

I can see the feeder from the back porch and reduced 2 of them with my .22 mag.

My boat is in a building but squirrels and especially mice can work their way into it so I do the mothballs. So far so good.
