how much to fix this?
I am looking at another auction boat and wondering what i am looking at to replace this missing piece. seems like a nice looking boat.

wow...i didnt think lowers were that much but i should have known better. i wonder why it is gone.

think i would bid it like the motor wasn't there, since you don't know what is under the cowl. If you can fix it for a couple of grand you will be ahead of the game.

Boat dealers in our area has suffered theft of lower units on their boat motors. It is much lighter to carry off than the whole motor and brings some big bucks. The problem with the motor in the picture is the head could be blown so the owner sold the lower unit.

Ya, who knows what kinda of shape the upper half is in.
It may just be that he hit something and broke the lower unit, and the motor is just fine.
Once again, the problem is you dont know at this point....
