Bent toons.....

#1 Post by jepperson » Tue Apr 20, 2010 6:59 pm

Ok, 2006 Party Hut Regency.....
Bought it for Christmas....front of the toons where they come to a point were both bent mildly to te left ...no big deal.
THEN....my wife took the boat out Saturday and evidently had some issues docking....now they are like 90 degree bends....looks like crap, scared to use they eye holes to tie the dock lines to.....
So....sorry it takes me so long to get to my point.....How/where can I get this fixed? (I'm near Lake Lanier, Georigia) Yes, I know one of us will probably do it again, but, I would like for it to be right.....thanks in advance for your input.

You must dock at full throttle. I have hit mine docking and on trees and just hitting stuff, but never bent them at all. I think someone needs a lesson in boat docking soon. This is going to cost you a few pesos and could sink your craft.

Like I said....they were already slightly bent when I purchased......evidently that made it a lot easier to bend when my wife hit the dock......

I hope you are talking about a small tip section of the logs, and not the entire nose cone. Just remember, aluminum is actually fairly brittle, when trying to bend something back into place. Usually will bend one way, but not back, without breaking.
