Better Table Mount

I am unhappy with the wobble in my current table mounts on the 2008 party hut. It uses the sequoia quick release surface mount on the bottom and popular 2.25" slightly tapered mount on the top. Top is fine, bottom wobbles. You can see the system here.

I have the cast aluminum base (middle row, left column pic) while most of what I see for sale is the stainless steel plate. I would think the cast aluminum would be more rigid. I am aware of the collar to tighten the quick release on the pole. I have it as tight as possible. There are 3 different mounting locations and 2 different legs on the hut. They all wobble, so it's a feature and not a single defect.

What alternatives do you recommend? I see many 2.25"ish solutions and some interesting stuff from Garelick. I will probably end up with a mix of surface and flush mount depending on cross member interference. Telescopic is not required.

I am surprised the sequoia solution is being sold everywhere based on what I have seen. What is being installed on the $50K+ toons?

I have 2 of them on the Party Cruiser, neither wobble at all....

I'm new to this site so I'll tread lightly. I just purchased a new toon with the same base and I agree it's pretty wobbly. IMHO the only way the base would be more secure is through the floor vs. the flush mount.
One problem I had was not reading the directions, found the collar was reverse threads and that really helped tighten it up but the table still seems wobbly. I'm not suggesting this is your problem only mine.

I did figure out the reverse threads, eventually. Maybe I need to break out the strap wrench and get on it.

If you don't like them, replace them with the through the florr style mounts. This is what my toon has, and I can honestly say they hold both of my tables very steady, when in use. The only downside is they can hold water, but I supposed I could just drill a small hole in the bottom of the mount to leat water drain out.
