Hello new here hope someone can give some advice on props. I have a 2003 Lowe Tahiti 192 deck boat with a 150 mercury Optimax it has a mercury 14x19 aluminum prop which ventilates in turns. I tried a 19 laser 2 stainless that worked good except it was over pitched. 4900 rpms @ 41.6 mph gps the aluminum was at 5100 @ 40.3 mph gps. I will be useing the boat for water sports and cruising. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thank you

Got a 150 opti on the toon, running a 15p Enertia which works pretty well. First tried a 17p mecury mirage plus, good prop but could only turn 5300 rpm. Thinking the 16p might be close for your boat.

Can you lower your motor? That may give you the extra bite you need while still using the original prop. You do need a lower pitch for power for those water sports. Also you may need to not trim it up so much as you do when cruising. When pulling our kids we do have to keep it trimmed a lot lower in the water. Let us know if anything makes a difference.

Re: Deck boat propeller choices
my suggestion is to carefully remove the prop and then attach it to a nice pontoon boat.
i don't know deckboats, but my experience with boats in general is that it's best to work with a shop that has plenty of used props. try a bunch of different pitches (you ding it you bought it) until you find the right one. those prop calculators don't work well, in my experience.
