the wonders of muriatic acid 4 cleaning crap off the engine

it is amazing how well muriatic acid diluted works on getting crap off the engine and boat. It is a 50/50 mix of acid and water. for those who do not know you can get two gallons of muriatic acid at home depot for about 11 bucks. i put it through a portable sprayer in a very well ventilated(outside) area. very little wind. All i did was apply it, waited 10-15 minutes, then washed it off with water..i didn't wash it off with a rag. I didnt have the proper stuff to handle it up close so just washed it off. this is how well it works all on its own...just imagine if i had used a rag to wash it off(soap and water in a bucket).

Yep it does work well, used it all the way back to the late 60's for various things mainly to clean concrete. Use to have to get it at a builders supply that was pre HD Lowes etc. What kind of sprayer are you using. Every time I ran that or a bleach solution through a sprayer pretty much quit working. Everything from the hand kind to garden type pump up. Still worth it if you get a cheap one,

Looks really good. Try it one more time, with a rag or brush this time, then slather some wax on it, and you'll be good as new ( looks wise anyways ).
