Ocklawaha Video

#1 Post by Ron Burgundy » Sat Jul 02, 2011 11:36 am

This video was taken by a friend of mine with a helmet mounted camera. It is the Ocklawaha river in central Florida near Ocala. I thought you guys might enjoy it. They are on jetskis, but it would be fun with a pontoon boat also! Just don't go for a swim...the river originates from Lake Griffin which I am told is home to thousands of gators :scared You may notice some ripples in the glassy water...those are from the gators.

Cool! Although not a spot to either run out of gas or have any mechanical problems.

What happens at the lake stays at the lake. Unless I have my camera handy.

That's so cool. A ski would be great for that here, running the river from the lake. Get up there where there is almost no one fishing.

That video makes me really want a jetski. I'm not sure if anyone noticed the instrument panel...on several occasions it read 8100 RPM and 70 MPH!!!

Very true...this activity is pretty high up on the risk scale. Definately need to use the buddy system. Andy, my friend filming, was running low on fuel for the trip back so he stayed in front just in case he ran out.
