No, I did weld a hitch to the back of my 29' camper to pull the boat though. Way too scary pulling it. It was a 17 foot speed boat and I made the wife pull it with her cavalier at the time.
I could only pull it in ND though, MN law requires you to have a 5th wheel set up to pull a boat behind your camper.

Even if the law would allow it, pontoon trailers are big, light trailers that are marginal in structure. They're just not built heavy enough for such stresses.
I've left my travel trailer in the same campground storage lot for the past 16 years. Sometimes you've got to store'em where you're going to use'em, and haul the boat back and forth. That works pretty well @ $365 yearly storage fees.
I took my Waverunner with me one trip last year, and some of those North Georgia mountain lakes are absolutely incredible. Their architect designed boathouses often cost more than my whole house.

I think you shoudn't try it. Most pop up trailers that i see on the freeway are to squirley they are always swaying at highway speed. Now if you have a 1ton dually and a tandem axle pontoon trailer that tows real good with trailer brakes on both towed trailers then you might be able to do it. Your truck has to be able to handle any swaying under all conditions on any road.

Have you guys seen the you tube about the trailer manufacturer who was trying to show his trailers were so easy to tow that you could tow 2 at a time.
He comes on stage right doing pretty good until they start fish tailing and it goes bad from there.
The whole rig ends up turned over in a pile.

In our state you can tow a bumper mount with a bumper mount. however it is not a good idea. Having your trailer pass your tow vehicle on a downgrade really sucks at least so i have heard. We are allowed 2 28' trailers behind our tow vehicle. For a total of 56'. You cannot have a 30' and a 26'. Max is 28'. My camper is a 24' 5th wheel with a 21' sun tracker 21' behind. Check your local laws. Same idea just go in reverse.

Get a motorhome to tow boat and your problems are solved.

Until you can't find a camping spot near water, and have to trailer the boat every time you want to use it / load it. That woudl be such a PITA with an RV, that you couldn't give me an RV to sleep in if I HAD to use it as my tow vehicle as well.

We did the motor home thing a couple of years. It was a pain in the butt to have to break camp to launch and retireve the boat everyday. After our second year into it we bought a camper and left it at a storage facility 2 miles from the camp ground. We probably saved enough in fuel to pay for the storage rental.
It was nice to be able to load up the motor home on Thurday night and then all you had to do was disconnect the electricty before leaving when we got home from work. I still contend that motorhomes make the best towing vehicles. The mirrors are always right and they are so un- aerodynamic that you cannot even tell a pontoon is back there.

I'm not saying let's go kill all the stupid people.. I'm just saying let's remove all the warning labels and let the problem work itself out.

My neighbor was a motor home guy but after several years and 2 motor homes he finally did the math. It was cheaper to fly, rent a car and stay in a real nice hotel.
For a lot of people, renting the boat would be cheaper too.
I have several neighbors with $40,000 5 year old boats that have a couple hundred hours or less on them. They are rotting on the lift and losing many thousands in value every year. a $100 an hour rental would be a bargain.
