So I bought the toon and it is in a marina winterized. I talked to a mechanic and he quoted me $430 to dewinterize, tune it up and pull it out of the water and clean the tubes and out drive. Does that sound reasonable? He will have to get the boat at the marina and take it back to his shop to clean and do the tune up.
Thanks,
James

Re: Boat Maint
That's really not bad. Last year I had mine pulled and it was $88.00 out and $88.00 to put it back in. They wanted $150.00 to clean the tubes.
I didn't have it tuned.
Their shop was 1 block from our Marina.

If you are mechanically inclined, you'd save about 80 percent of what he is charging. If not, that's reasonable as long as he's actually cleaning the logs and not merely giving them a quick pressure wash.
