New pontoon price

What's your main intended use? A 115 should be able to do anything you need it to BUT with a heavy load /pulling a large tube you will be at WOT to stay on plane and will probably need to switch props depending on what your using it for. My 20' tritoon is fairly light and with a smaller displacement 140 (slightly smaller block than the new Merc 115) I have no problem tossing a 4 person tube around OR popping up a skier quickly with 6 adults on board IF I switch to my 15 pitch 4 blade, tops out right at 30-31mph with that load. With the Wife, Daughter, and I out fishing for the day It runs 37-39mph with a 17p 3 blade stainless. I like having the speed when I'm chasing fish on a 20+ mile long lake. I still had my 4 stroke 70hp when I built my tritoon and even the 70 would plane it off with 4 adults or less, but needed to stay at WOT to cruise 25-26mph, I use noticeably less gas at that speed now with the 140 since the engine really isn't working too hard.

We recently bought a 2017 Lowe SS210 Tritoon with underskinning and lifting strakes, 115 Pro XS with command thrust, dual bimini option, chrome package, premium ski tow, playpen cover, and tandem trailer for $30,695 OTD.. So i'd say the price you're being quoted is pretty good. We've only had the boat a month or so, but with our usual load of 4 adults, a couple kids, gear, and coolers it'll do a top speed of 30mph and cruises on "plane" comfortably at around 20mph with the Mercury 3 blade "black max" 13P extra cup pontoon prop it came with. If I had it to do over again I would have gone for a better trailer, this is a Karavan bolt together trailer, and while it gets the job done I am used to nicer trailers, my last two bowriders had really nice custom fit trailers.

I hope I am not paying to much. I have deposit on a 2017 Sylvan 8522 Mirage LZ with a Suzuki DF140. Rpt and underskin, hyd.steering, gage pk., upgraded floor and steering wheel, playpen cover and a few other upgrades. No trailer. $31k.
lm new at this also and found it hard to lock down the going prices. My second choice was Bennington 21 foot with Yamaha 115 for $34 and no trailer. A thousand here or there is not as important to as getting well built boat. I hope this one will be.
