Had a problem with the engine whining badly in reverse. Took it to Dealer in Beaumont. Now this was not a new motor(2009) but it was said to have a new powerhead that had been put on under warranty and NO other problems. The whining was going on from the get go so I brought it in for 20 hr service and told the guy about the whining and that it looked like the prop was not spinning true when spun by hand on the trailer. Four days later I call to see what's up and he tells me that I had bent the prop shaft.
Does this prop look like it bent a shaft fifty thousandths.

Well SOB wouldn't back off "You done it" So I go get my boat and get it fixed.
IT doesn't whine in reverse now and when I get it propped right will do just fine.
I have a Honda repair manual now and tools so I can fix my own stuff.
I will contact Honda with vin # of powerhead and see if that was bullshit as well.
Buyer beware! NO business with The Honda dealership in Beaumont TX by me. I'm sure the one year warranty he said I had on the powerhead is worthless. I will have done something to void that I'm sure.
