Removing graphics

#1 Post by Mrtoler » Sun Jul 31, 2011 7:09 pm

Well ive got a good start on removing the graphics on the toon. I took the power washer and blew the old stickers off, now I'm stuck with the sticky residue!! I've tried everything to get it off and the only thing that works is ac coil cleaner.....do any of you guys have any tips?????? Once there all removed I'm going to sand till smooth then prime and paint! I'm wanting to get it done asap because my new double bimini and wall mount led nav lights I ordered are in!!!

I would refrain from the a/c coil cleaner, as I believe most of them are muriatic acid solutions.

WD 40, 3m adhesive remover and goo be gone do the job. Gasoline might work, but is also very dangerous to use. You might try a little less dangerous charcoal lighter fluid--commonly used to clean vinyl floor mastic off flooring during installation.

One of these should work.

Try Skin-so-soft from Avon. My wife uses it to get adhesive off stuff and it works great on squeaky spots on the dock.
