Ya, gramps. I have run them on the Manitou and my Bajas. I haven't tried one on the Premier with the Verado, yet. But plan on it. Looking at a Revolution 4, but the boat needs to be tached and GPS's first, since I reprogrammed the EMM to 310 horsepower. My expirience has been good with them. They have alot less slip, better holeshot, better fuel economy and depending on the prop, more stern lift, on the pontoon, anyway. The Manitou and both Bajas lost some speed, 3 to 5 mph. But the fuel economy (if you can call it that on a boat) was increased noticeably. Here are my best props for my old Manitou. The Renegade Offshore, (right rear) is the 4 blade. All of these props are for sale, they won't on my Verado, so if anyone is looking for a big shaft Evinrude prop, let me know.

Bruden, I have the Revolution 4 on our boat and so far it does a great job, the only thing that concerned me is that on all of Mercurys motor tests with the 150 4 stroke they use 3 blades.

I would be curious to see what the difference would be.

You have enough props there to buy another boat, LOL

I also have had 4 blades an tried them on my boat. What I didn't like was low speed control was less, less grab in reverse, an on my boat I lost 4 mph top end an more rpms at cruising speed so my gph went up by 5 gallons an hour at cruising. They cost more if u damage it. I didn't find any advantages other than a pinch more in the beginning of the whole shot then it petered out to a loss at the top of the hole shot. I chose to save the cash an be faster an more boat control.

Captain, How many gph do you burn if a 4 blade made you burn 5 gph more, that's unreal. all the articles that I have read claim that the 4 blade is more economical for cruising.

I lost rite close to 4 mph on mine. On my buddy's premiere with a 250 horse his actually ran around 3 mph slower with the 4 blade but he could also troll a 1/2 mph slower with the 4 blade. So he kept the 4blade an his boat really sucks gas compared to mine.

sorry miss read your ? Cruising I burn right at 12 gph at wot 30 gph this is all off my smart craft gph gauge. When I did this I also wanted to not lose any cruising speed so don't remember how many rpm's I was running with the 4 blade to get the 28 mph at cruise at 3000 rpm's I get with the 3 blade sst.

Captain, Sorry, my post got sent before I finished commenting and I don't know why.

I was going to say the we had a 32ft Aft cabin Carver woth twin 350 Chevy blocks and we never burned that much when running hard.
It blows my mind that a 300hp outboard would use that kind of fuel. We have owned around 20 boats during our 51 years of boating and not one of them burned that amount.

I had friend that had bigger boats than us and they could burn it, but you were looking at twin screws on a 38 to 40 foot boat.

Well I went and looked at Mercury's outboard test site and the 300hp Verado burns 29.8 gph on a 27ft Avalon, I never realized that that outboard would use so much fuel on a pontoon boat.

I guess i'll stick with my 150hp 4 stroke. lol!

Gramps I hear ya I am slowing down as well I also have had twin engine go fast boats but they used way more gas! The last toon I had a 225 honda on it best mileage ever yep at cruising speed it got like 4 or 6 miles to the gallon can't remember exactly it was 7 years ago. But my next boats will have Honda's on them! Lol
