Hi everyone!

#1 Post by bigern76 » Mon Jul 30, 2012 4:02 pm

I'm new to the pontooning world and just got signed up here. Seems like a good place to get some good info and tips about toons in general. Last thursday I bought an 05 triton 240 gold fishing package with a 90 optimax. We have had it out all weekend and had a blast!! It was a repo and needs a few things repaired but it runs good and cleaning it up made a world of difference in how it looks. The optimax seems to be pretty easy on the fuel just cruising at 4000 - 4200 rpms, and seems to have plenty of power at WOT even on a 24' boat. I look forward to reading yalls posts and chattin!

Thanks,
Ernie

Welcome, lot of good deals on repo's out there. Think because the banks don't have an emotional interest in them like individual sellers plus it frees up the cash to get it working again for them. My first toon was a 24 san pan with a 90 opti. It was a great boat but did have the smaller logs which created a lot of drag but being an 05 you probably have the larger logs. Enjoy sound like you are good to go
Lot of 4 stroke lovers here but still love the opti.
