#1 Post by larnsue73 » Fri Feb 28, 2014 6:37 pm

:?: Has anyone ever used the Pontoon Stuff coupon? I'm placing a large order and would like to get some kind of a discount.
Thanks for the help. RV-LJ

Yeah, I did put the coupon in but it didn't take it at first. I had "forum 10" but it wanted forum10, no space. Touchy! Now that they gave me such a great discount I'm finding all kinds of other things I need to order. It never ends! Thanks for the info!

Sorry I put the space in without thinking, should have wrote, forum10

Some of us have ordered the whole boat, everything on mine and curtiscapk's is brand new from the alumumin frame up, my brother and I are working on the finishing touches, building the sundeck, getting the radio in and I sure we fine a bunch more, we do have to rebuff the toons one more time , then get the clear coat on them, so we dont have to polish them every six months, I like the mirror finish, but it would take to much work, when we could be using it.

:thumbsup Oh Gawd! This is killing my husband! He fights with those darn toons all the time and they have never been THAT SHINY! Good for you, we wish you well with all the sparkles! Were they always that shiny or did you bring them back to life? What is your magic touch? :drool

The biggest part we paid to have done at a truckstop near us, then we finished off the rest, it takes a lot of time, but ask around your area for someone polishing aluminum, this is how it looked before

We went crazy and did the inside to

And kept on buffing till we had her looking better than she left the factory

You have to acid wash it before you can do all this polishing, again we had it done at a truck stop near us for fourty bucks, but you can order or buy the stuff to do it yourself too

Heres a shot after acid washing at the polishing shop that did the most of it

Geez, we wouldn't want to put it in this water out here in the Colorado River, in Arizona. It wouldn't last a week. I'm so glad to see what it looked like in the beginning. Makes me think we might have a chance after all. We just ripped out the seats today so it will be an uphill battle for a while. We need to find a truck stop, them boys do a heck of a job. :biggrin2 What do you coat the toons with? We need all the help we can get. Sue & Larry P.S. Your little helper is CUTE!

Thanks for the Welcome. You answered one of our questions.......do we have to put the seats together. We kinda thought we would have to screw them together but it didn't say anywhere. We still don't know if they come with screws to mount them to the floor. I hope they do. :donno
