The weather on Tues was just too stinkN nice to miss the oppertunity, so i pretended i was an Obama fanatic, blew off work, and drove the toon down to the lake!! :guitar
Great Day!!! About 80 degrees and the lake is waaaay up!

The toon fired right up and ran Great! Drove around and played with the new Eagle 300 fishyfinder....

The one flying in the back may indeed be an eagle as well...
There are a combo of bald eagles, hawks, osprey, and golden eagles that hang out down there, so you may be right BMR....
The Balds usually hang out down there from Dec till around April, then fly back up into the mountains to have their babies... I thought maybe that was young bald..
A number of years ago they built all these tall poles for them to nest in, prob 15-20 of em all over the west side of the lake, and the idea has really taken off. The 'birds of prey' seem to use em up!

Here's some babies we saw up on one last summer...

Young Eagles don't have the white head, they get that when older and have kids of their own

In these parts, eagles never nest over the water, only in the trees. I jumped in the Bohemia last summer with my cell in my pocket. Took the battery out, poured rubbing alcohol in it, hit it with a hair dryer and eventually it became fully functional again. First week, most of the keys didn't work and the camera flash would stay on. Second week, all but 3 keys worked and the flash would come on periodically (bright as hell, lit up my pocket). Almost a year later, it's fully functional and even takes pictures. :tofunny
