Looking for controls for Suzuki DT 140

#1 Post by Luke » Tue Feb 23, 2016 8:04 am

I just put a 2000 Suzuki DT140 on the Fun-Toon. The controls that came with it are junk. Does anyone know where to find a new control box for this motor? I see several Suzuki controls on ebay but haven't seen any that say they are specifically for this year and motor. Need the cables as well.

I believe I have a set of brand new Suzuki controls that will work with that setup. Side mount, with keys. I'll take a look and send you some pics. Send me an email at tm530@aol.com

Thanks,
Tom

I bought a new set and hooked it up but the throttle works backwards. Is there any way to change it? If the throttle is hooked up it had to be wide open throttle to start the engine so I had to unhook the throttle

Not familiar with Suzuki controllers but I believe on some of the Mercury you could attach the cables it in the front or the back of the unit depending if you needed a push or pull throttle. Might be the same on that one...did it come with a manual?

That's what I've been told. Yes it came with a manual but I didn't see anything in the manual about switching it.
