"Wireless" Trailer/Towing Lights

#1 Post by usmcsteve » Tue Jun 23, 2009 1:35 pm

:usa Has anyone else used wireless tow lights? I purchased a set at Pepboy's auto parts store a couple of months ago for 149.00 and I must say they work pretty darn good on my boat trailer. I used them on my utility trailer last week and to pull a car behind my RV last month. You can strap them on or use the magnetic mounts on the bottoms. All you have to do is plug the transmitter into your towing vehicles trailer wiring plug and then mount the lights on your trailer or car. The transmitter then sends the brake - turn signals and running lights information to the wireless tow lights. Total hook up time for me was less then 1 minute. I will let you know in a couple of months how they are working out.

Let me know if anyone else has a set of these..

P.S. I also found these same lights on the JCWhitney.com and WirelessTowLights.com web sites for those of you who do not have a Pepboys close.

Now thats a trip I think that would make my life way easier since I'm always pulling different types of trailers and messing with lights and the wiring.

I just found these same LED wireless tow lights on the U-Haul and Sears web sites. Here are the links below if anyone is interested...

that does sound tempting. i'm considering rewiring my trailer lights soon.
they act flaky now and then. but isn't it a pain to have to replace the
AA batteries in the lights all the time?

I mainly use my lights to go to the lake once a week. 1/2 hour to 1/2 hour home. I figure 1 set of lithium batteries will last a period of 24 hours, 1 set of batteries should get me through till fall if I don't use them for anything else.. They are working pretty darn... Going to use them tomorrow..
