I am about to make a move on a 2006 G3 with a 115 Yamaha. The Boat was a factory tested boat that never left the facility. It has never been titled. The motor is a one owner yamaha with very low use. The boat is very clean. I have looked at everything and really like the G3. I have heard very good things, we also looked at Sylvans and just were not that impressed by what they offered us. They wanted to sell us a 50HP on a 24 foot boat. We are very excited about this. We think we are getting a good deal, the boat has been inside since it was built in fact.

Good choice. A 50 HP on a 24 footer when loaded would barely get you over 10 mph. The 115 HP should do over 20. When I had a 50 on my 22 footer I could barely do over 12 MPH with eight adults. Now on the 115 HP I can go 22 MPH with the same load.

You know its all about practicality for me with this boat. I have a 4 year old and 9 year old and a wife who likes to lounge and drink cocktails in the sun, we live near a huge lake but dont plan to go far on it. I just want something that will get me around in a decent time and not kill my wallet. I would rather buy cool stuff for the boat than pay a huge amount for it. This motor also is under warranty till the end of 2012.
