Just go start sticking sockets on it, that's how I found mine out. This is good of course only if it is close to you. My guess is there are only 2-3 different prop nut sizes, as I only see that many "prop wrenches" in Bass Pro, etc.

The boat is 7 hours away and I was hoping NOT to have to haul my entire toolbox to it to try all my sockets. Not even sure I have sockets that big so I'll likely have to buy whatever size it is anyway. Thats why I asked. I have a shop manual, but of course it is at the boat so that does me no good either.

Googling turned up no answer, but I think it may be either 22mm or 27mm from what I did find so far.

What he said. I know I don't have any sockets that big. I think I just used a large adjustable wrench. Bring a block of wood to wedge and hold the prop still.
