SPIDERS

#1 Post by pepper1126 » Tue Jun 08, 2010 8:17 am

Yes, I said Spiders. We keep our boat covered so the seats and stuff will last. Each time we take the cover off we discover new spiders. Can you all suggest a good spray or method to keep these suckers away from the boat that will not hurt the boat. Thanks

Hahaha!

I am with you on this one, Pepper. I HATE spiders, and am probably borderline arachnaphobic. When I have nightmares, they are about spiders.

Unfortunately, there are always spiders on my boat, and I've just had to learn to deal with that fact. In the day time when I have it out on the water, they are probably hiding in the rails. I think if you found a way to kill them off, more spiders would make it a home the very first time you stored it.

My advice: Don't work on your boat at night time, because that's when I find my boat covered in them.

Plenty of fabric softener sheets spread around should keep them out

Bounce Sheets

Look how clean mine was when I popped the top (scroll down). I always leave them in the seats and the bimini boot. I did forget to take a new load down last time so I am expecting spiders this weekend.

Yep bounce on down to the store an get some. The first time I used them at the lake was to repel mosquitoes, funny thing near dark the spiders would come out an spin their webs on our gazebo. That evening I didn't see even one...........

I spread bounce sheets around both my boat for the winter and had no pest problems.

Spiders scare topless chicks into Capt. Ed's lap. Me and the spiders are pals.
