spark plugs for '01 Mercury 90 hp 2 stroke outboard

Hey guys, i went in autozone the other day to get some backup spark plugs and the kid working was trying to sell me some high $ plugs and said i needed to bring in the old ones so he can get the # off them to match. Was he just tryin to sell me something or is there a certain plug I need to be looking for? Probably a dumb question, but I figured this was the place to ask! Thanks

plug you want is the NGK 2173 BUZHW-2

Very easy to change. you will need 3 of them.

Yep, I got mine at Advance Auto for about $6 a piece if I remember correctly, when the boat shop wanted about $10 a piece. Good luck, and keep some spares at that price.
