#1 Post by skeptic » Sat Jan 15, 2011 8:29 pm

I've been reading the forum for about 6 months trying to educate myself on pontoons and I've learned a "boat-load" of information. I'm pretty sure I'm gonna pull the plug and purchase a new pontoon next week and put the information into practice. Thanks.

Don't forget to take ur cool dog along. They make great chick magnets and beer-spill cleaners.

Welcome!

We live south of Louisville, near Fort Knox but we spend our lake time on Nolin Lake located near Leitchfield KY. The boat I’m looking at is a 2011 Bennington 2275 GCW. It’s more money than I wanted to spend but it has the options I wanted. I’ve been saving for a rainy day and rain is in the forecast beside you only live once. I’ll be sure and post pics when I finally do get it. Thanks.

Welcome - ya'll will love the new boat. I bought my 2010 Bennington last August - it is a custom 2275 GFI (custom because the floorplan is the 2275 RFSi with an extended rear swim deck).

Understand about cost, but get the biggest motor you can afford. I have a Yamaha F90 and already wish I had gotten the F115 or larger. Mine does everythiing I want it to, but I am always thinking about "what if I could go faster!"

Anyway, enjoy. (those rear facing loungers will be sweet)

Pulled the trigger on the boat!! I pick it up next month. C'mon summer! Thanks to all who have posted over the last several months. I'm certain I'll have lots of questions soon.

Congrats on the tri toon. Already got you signature updated to. You are going to be happy with that ride. Don't forget the prop or make sure the boat is properly propped. The dealer should be onto that, but the wrong or not the best can cost in overall performance of the boat.
Good Luck an enjoy
