1989 Sun Tracker Party Barge 24DL into Tritoon build

Got some time to play on the lake today for a few hours. We tried a couple of different props my buddy loaned me.

So we tried a Stainless 14 x 21p 3 blade and saw 37mph gps @ 5600rpm...if I tried to trim up the prop would let go. So we swapped that out for a Mercury Mirage Plus, which is a 14-3/4 x 21p 3 blade. Top speed was 44.9mph! Unfortunately my WOT RPM dropped to 5100-5200rpm. I think I need to raise the motor a bolt hole, I can't see the cavitation plate when running. This engine is a tad heavier than the 90hp Johnson

Hopefully with a few more props to try out and engine height adjustments I can get her to run a few more MPH's into the upper 40's with this 200hp Mercury!

Ok fellow Tooners...Here is the pic of my ALMOST 45 MPH! Going to play with more props and motor height. Probably only get one maybe two more trips out. It's time to wrap up boating in Michigan.

I imagine in MI in a few more weeks, if you do that 45mph, they'll find you with your hand frozen to the wheel!

I know, it get's cold fast up here!! I swear we need to move south, to warmer weather and extended boating season
