Guy sent me pics. I think the 50 Force are Mercury for that year ? Anyone have one and how do you like it ? Guy says he has another 50 HP he's throwing in.

Not really concerned about the motor since I'd most likely buy a new 4 stroke and just use the 50 HP for this season. Liking that it's duradeck.

Ed, it looked a little rough to me. I know the admiral over-ruled you, but I wouldn't have gone much over about $1,500-$1,750. You know what it costs to do new carpet, seats, etc.
Maybe next time.

Yeah that boat is pretty cool. No bids either. Yeah I figure by the time I stripped that boat down, new seats, motor, etc I'd pay as much as something a bit bigger/newer.

That would have been a good project boat but at the same time you have to keep the wife happy You'll find something that suits the both you.
