I just added a quick oil drain to the Starcraft. The Mercruiser part is about $70, Overtons had it for $28. For safety though, I added a shutoff valve in case the rubber hose ever fails.

I have to install a new fence that was made for our boat by Bentley. Our dock neighbors had a problem mooring the stern of their boat when they (she) came in during a storm. So she and her four guests ran for cover for 20 minutes while their boat beat the livin' hell out of ours. It beat is so much it ripped my bumper off the railings. It was secured with 3/4" nylon strap. The folks didn't even report the incident to us...I found the damage a week after it happened when we took our boat out. And here's another kicker, the guys that run our marina won't even consider moving us to get away from these assholes. :asshole

Their insurance paid for the new fence but I ate the cost of driving 600 miles round trip to pick it up.

The fence comes without the decals attached and I had to purchase an entire new set of decals for the boat. Couldn't buy just the ones for the new set. I'll be asking for some assistance in installing the decals when I get to it this spring. I may was well remove the old ones and replace them all since I have the entire set.

I'll post up some pics when I get into the project. Here is a pic or two of the current damage.

A rack to hold my cornhole boards, and new boards to match my new boat!

Well, I found out why my water temp on the Humminbird is reading 99 degrees. Damn muskrats chewed the transducer cable.

Time to start trapping muskrats again. :x

Also try to find stainless braided armor for my transducer cables in the meantime.

Hey Ed, welcome to the muskrat club. When the dealer replaced my transducer they wrapped the cable with metal tape.

We had unusually heavy snow and it ripped out two of the pole patches on my cover so I have to get in there and sew/tape them back on...

Anyone tried the pontoon cover support that overton sells?

Sneaky little critters came in the dark of night. Maybe I should sit on the dock with my night vision goggles.

Hey Mike, if you need to tape something get Gorilla Tape. That stuff is tough. I installed plastic tarp over my Tracker cover to help keep blowing rain out and had to cut ( rip and tear) around bimini uprights. I used Gorilla Tape to hold it all together and through cold and wind it is still holding tight. :2cents

I want to clean my toons. They sat in a marina for a year with out being cleaned. Also get some carb. work done to the motor. Dont like to idle well after sitting for so long. Would love to get another trailor, but dont know if that's gonna happen, considering renting a slip. Other than that, the boat is perfect. Set up just the way we like it! :givebeer
