had no idea this was you! I talked to you last year at Key West, we were over by Billy Mauf's pit! Can't make it down this year, due to the wifes bout with breast cancer, but next year, we will be back down. Missed ya in Michigan City! Will be there again next year, too. Along with the pontoon to watch the race from offshore!
Good luck at Key West, kick Tomlinson's butt!
Be Safe! Too many bad accidents lately!
Thanks bro!!

When I purchased my bost s few years ago, my friends who hadn't seen it thought I was crazy buying an "old man's boat." They has no idea what today's pontoons have to offer, especially mine. I took a coworker out last week and he couldn't stop talking about it. Toons are undoubstlbe gaining market share year to year and happy to be helping.

I've made it nearly 48 times around the old sun by mostly not giving two shits about what anyone thinks about what I say, or do. I drive the boat I want to. I'll float around in a horse trough with a trolling motor on it if I fell like it.

Anyone who has an issue with that can tongue my nuts.

Yeah, Had some extended family members out this last Saturday on El Dorado Reservoir.

Nice Day in the high 80's. The lake wasn't crowded.

Enjoyed a nice time putting and cruising around the lake. Nephew In Law decided the pull toy was an option. We're putting around with it behind the boat with him enjoying a beer and a cigar.

After we all cruised back to the slip, the comments and compliments were that the pontoon sure was a nice ride and set up very comfortable and fun for both cruising and fishing.

Didn't get any pics, but sure enjoyed the good times.

And like others here, anyone who doesn't like my choice of boats can "french kiss my fat tushie on main street at noon time".

I think an easy way to gauge the pontoon's popularity is to look at how their presence has increased in boat shows the last few years, at least in Atlanta. Last year there were huge displays by the top boat brands. I went to Tampa last year and got a good look there too. I know we'll visit the Atlanta show again in February next year. Fun to see what's new!

Good luck to Scotty and the Miss Geico! I got a great taste of offshore powerboat racing when the circuit ran in Panama City Beach. We anchored off the course and had a great day of watching the race. Not the super class of Miss Geico, but these guys did haul some serious ass! That year the Incredible Hulk flipped going into the east turn. Action, action, action!!

there are lots of toons on our lake so i'm not sure this is true "snobbery" but, when i'm driving my mastercraft and i wave to other mastercraft boats, they usually wave back, when i'm driving the toon and i wave to other mastercraft boats, they usually don't wave back. when i'm on the wave runner, no one waves back.

But, with all said, we are all boaters. Enjoying time on the water. And if something happens to anyone on the water, I would sure hope we all band together and help where we can. I'm pretty sure you can count on us 'tooners! From the thoughts and wishes we got from everyone here and around the boating industry, when we found out Denises bad news, I know how tight the boating family is! Best people around!

Now that's got to be the oldest and likely most widespread comment in the book.... Motorcycle riders complain about that one all the time; Jap bike riders complain that HD riders rarely wave back, most everyone says that BMW riders only wave to fellow BMW riders.... Etc etc etc..... Myself I like to wave and/or wave back but sometimes I just gets tired of waving like I'm in the parade.... But with that being said I tip my beer to you in salute to your wave! :drink

Hmm, maybe the traffic is less so there's less "wave fatigue", but most boaters acknowledge others on the water where I'm from somehow. Either with the wave or the subtle head nod.

I always find it interesting driving in rural Nebraska where the inlaws are from. The whole state does gives you a two finger salute off the steering wheels as you pass on the highway. I don't even think they do it consciously anymore. You just automatically raise two fingers off the steering wheel when oncoming traffic goes by.

Not sure what they have to be a snob about but it sure ain't my issue.
Had a toon back around the 1990s..
Still have the 75 mph bass boat and the toon. Enjoy both. If someone is that much worried about what I bring to ride in it tickles the mess out of me they spend time worrying about it.
For sure its their own personal problem.

Pontoons are currently (last few years at least) the largest selling portion of the boating industry in the US. Some weekends I'll do a spot census of boats passing by in a ten minute period from my dock and it'll be 3 or 4 to one pontoons vs. fiberglass.
At LOTO new 3 log pontoons are starting to outnumber traditional 2 log units.
I can think of at least 10 friends/neighbors of mine who have boats, 8 of them have pontoons and the other 2 are thinking of getting one.
We love the versatility and room the toon gives us. We had a great runabout for 12 years, but we love our Benny with the Yammy!
Don't care what other folks think and if somebody in a 50' SeaRay thinks he's better because he's got a bigger, fancier boat then let him have his fantasy.
