First Pontoon To Hit 100MPH!!!!!!

the first official 100mph pontoon was recrded at the shootout races on loto today.
also a first run of 208 radar, 218 gps was hit by a local offshore cat!!! with more left on the sticks

Finals are tommorow.

100MPH??? I can't wait to see the info on that!!!!! I wonder if they stripped all the furniture and got a little skinny bastard to drive it? I'm gonna guess that it had twin 250's and was completely gutted, but that's just a shot in the dark.

i think it had twin 300s or 350s. not sure but i believe it was driven by the owner of playcraft. jim dorris

Dammit!
Of all the years of going, I had to miss the shootout this year!!!
On the other hand, I really needed to go to a 70th BD party for a very good friend who probably won't see 71. The party was hosted by a voice over specialist who works for George Lucas and Seth Green (Adultswim fame) as well as the announcer for the Oscars. A lot of good stories to be had.

As soon as I read the first post, Brandon, I knew it had to be Jim. Did his wife run the boat again in the powder puff race, with the top up, this year? She always told me, she refuses to run around topless. Good for Jim, Thats really awesome. I wish we could have been down there, but OT at the plant got me again. Maybe next year. I think that was the boat he has twin 400 hp Scorpions in. Plus triple tubes. The bar goes up higher next year. I better go triple Yamie 342's. Damn

It was Ken from fox lake IL, w a 26 extreme playcraft I/O. also there was anothert pontoon there w 3-300 hp outboards, both boats did 100 mph.JT

Two toons hit 100, one the southbay with triple 300s and then a playcraft with single inboard, an all aluminum block 568 cubic inch with twin blowers.....
Pretty damn impressive either way....
