We are looking for our first deck boat and would be grateful for some guidance.
Use would be in the Pacific. We would moor at a slip in a Southern California marina.
We are looking for something family-friendly, safe for cruising (not overnight trips),
Primary considerations: -ideally with a head (young kids), able to fit 12 people.
Looking for a value boat, used OK, as long as low maintenance, sturdy, dependable.
Doesn't need to be particularly speedy, as long as is adequate and versatile (maybe occasional fishing)
I've been checking out many websites and seeing that there are a bunch of manufacturers
Grateful for any suggestions: brands, models, what to look for, how old to consider, safety features, etc.

Thanks

-HN

This is a big seller here in Oklahoma. I don't know why it is called a deckboat considering there is no deck.

Welcome hn

Think you are going to need a good sized deck boat for 12 folks. Pretty good crowd even on a 24' toon. Needless to say the age would depend on your budget. Not sure what your price range is, so it hard to make any reccomendations. The boat trader might be a good place to look since most have photos. Good Luck in your search.
