No, it is filled with foam. I forget the exact numbers, it is about 200lbs, but it adds over 600lbs of flotation. It made my boat sit about 1" higher at the rear, about 2.5" higher, at the bow.

Thanks for the info, seems like a decent alternative to guys a new boat, but I would need to upgrade the motor also. No point in doing all that work only to keep a 40hp on it. the toon is rated for 90hp.
