ok off the wall thought

#1 Post by sHan tn » Sat Jun 13, 2009 2:56 pm

dont worry i do that often LOL

Anyway i see people wanting to put a 3rd toon under there boat(including me) now why couldnt you put 4 toons under a boat??? i just stuck a tape under mine and there looks to be room. now i realize that it would be more like a deck boat than a toon but wouldnt the tanks hold a lot of weight??? im wanting to build a box on mine with a few windows just somthing to store a few supplies and sleep in, about 8 x 12 on a 24' toon

any thoughts about doing this????

and if ya think im nuts join the crowd LOL

I had the same though a few years back when I had a bid on one on e-bay but the toons would have been touching on my 8 foot wide deck.

But it would hold a lot of weight and flote high in the water

Gave a little thought about that also. Knowing we aren't the first. One thing that might be a down side is the toons would be so close to each other it might prevent good flow of water between them. Bet the engineers have ran some calculation on the feasibility of a quad toon. Since no manufacturer, I know of, has one there has to be a reason ie turbulence or water flow, wouldn't think it would have any thing to do with buoyancy.

Didnt that one guy do it? And the mind police deleted his thread because he had very tasteful pictures of, gasp, girls in bathing suits in some of the pics! Was a cool pontoon, big flag poles, a sex swing, neon lights, a slide..... did I mention the swing? It would be really cool to have his stuff back up on the interwebz. He had a really custom Jeep XJ also. Full external roll cage.

Anyway, I think he had 4 toons under that thing for big parties. And it rocked.

Yeah...he posted at PDB back when I started and got heavily edited, probably why he left too. His quad toon was cool as hell, and he was the kind of guy we'd like to see at Canal Days :tofunny

That guy left years ago so you have to search for it. I'd help, but I get instantly banned as soon as I sign up and Rickdb1/Brady/Tyler/Doyle figure out it's me.
