101 Uses for a Pontoon Boat

#1 Post by Thommes » Mon Apr 11, 2011 5:33 pm

Thought I'd see if there are any other weird people out there that use there pontoon boats for outta the norm things, ie. other than partaying, cruising, skiing/tubing, fishing, etc. I'm thinking along the lines of star gazing. Might sound corny to some, but I love looking at the stars, especially when there's a meteor shower going on. The lake that we fish at and now have a dock slip is far enough away from major cities that you can actually see the Milky Way ribbon in the night sky. This is in the parking lot which has security lights. So I can't wait to get out on the middle of the lake and watch the night sky.

Anyone else have a 'different' use for a toon?

Well during the week I will actually pull the cover off and sit in my Toon and have a few beers in my yard. Actually had a couple of neighbors join me. The wife thinks it is stupid but it get me away from her for a few lol. I figure she will be okay until I get some biking in there with me.

Yep love the sunsets an stars at the lake. We would go to my grandfather farm an stay for a week or so when I was a kid. Remember sitting on his front porch and asking him why he had more stars than we do in Atlanta.

1. Hay rides minus the hay. Pontoon seats are more comfy.
2. Parade float. Pirates or Gilligan's Island are great themes.
3. Kids parties. Disco ball hung from the top.
4. Sunbathing away from the lake. Enclosed fence. ;-)

Bachelor parties and baby showers

When a friend gets married we get on the toon ( I don't drink that night) a couple half gallons JD and we party. When they have a baby we give the dad a mans baby shower, see above

I thought was a normal use? To get away from the wife?

LOL, Anytime I put the boat in the water the wife is with me, She doesn't understandt why I grab a beer turn the radio on and sit in the boat. That is what I call my quiet time. LOL

Our actual weekend boating starts in May and I can't wait!!! It is nice enough out to hit the water now but she has us busy for the next 2 weekends.
