Sounds like the same thing the Premier PTX package has, a U bolt on each side of the motor. That is where Premier says to hook the yoke/harness for towing a tube.

I plan on putting mine to the tow test this weekend. Using a yoke with pulley, attached to the logs.... Will update, unless it rips the rear ends from the boat, and we sink and drown!
:scared:

I'm betting, all that will happen is that we'll have a terrific time!

The eyes should work fine for you Doc we used them on our 2 log Premier with no problem. That is what Premier says to use on the 2 log boats.

Here is the promised picture, you can see the "ski eye" at the top of the picture as well. Please let me know if you think the two U connections are the best place to attach the Y rope.

I also recommend using the sports stuff booster ball. It helps keep the rope out of the water, and makes it easier to get the tube to get out of the wake. We tried tubing with out the ball and could not get the big bertha tube out of the wake no matter what we tried (BORING), added the booster ball and it made all the difference.

Absolutely, especially with a low towing point, like those U bolts. i use the same setup and after 3 years no problems.

From what I've been told, yes, you want to connect to the U bolts on the back of the transom. Most I/O's are the same way as you have in your picture, and that's what they use to tow tubers with.

Go enjoy your weekend :nana

I have a ski pylon that is removable and I'm pretty sure the dealer said it's okay to use for tubing. I'm going to check right now!

Just called the dealer about using the ski pylon that locks into the deck on the stern. He said ski or tube, doesn't make any difference. We'll be pulling a couple of young'ens (6 & 8) this weekend if the weather cooperates. Any problems and I'll be sure to let y'all know.

I don't know what you decided or have tried. I had this exact kind of ring that was on my Four Winns installed right from the Factory. It should have a long backing brace hooked to something besides aluminum to help distribute the torque. Mine had a big bracket oblong on the inside/underside right at the eye and then the long brace side to side. I would guess 18-24 inches on both sides also bolted at the center as well as the ends. Think of a bow tie. The Ring goes Thru/into the hull The oblong backing plate is next on the inside then the bow tie is next all bolted with about a 5/8 nut with flat washer and then a lock washer. Each end of the Bow tie is also bolted through the hull. The bolds showing on the ends were rounded stainless steel and looked like stove bolt heads. I'll look on my flicker pictures to see if you can see the set up. I think you can.
