Looking for Toon from Lexington, SC

#1 Post by SCbarber » Thu Jun 21, 2012 4:46 pm

I am in the market for a used toon. Budget of 10,5 max and want the fish model in a 20-22 foot with a four stroke motor. Been looking everywhere but used ones seem to bring a pretty penny, and they seem to keep their value for the most part. I will drive for the right deal, so if anyone sees a deal, please post it for me. I have cash and ready to buy. Looking forward to joining the group! I am in my older 30s and never thought I would want a toon, but it seems like the best family boat out there.

Suggest you go on Boattrader.com and filter the distance to 100 miles from your zip. Also filter the website for "used" and "aluminum boats."

There are some used fish model 20'-22' boats within your price range.

If they don't meet your needs, go out to 250 miles. Pontoons are available, but the fish style boats may slightly limit your search.

Boattrader is a great place to look for any kind of boat. IBoats.com is another great place.

Same as Bama..........plus it will give you an idea of pricing, so when you do find one, you aren't apt to over pay.

Welcome to the forum. I assume you have been looking at Craigslist and all the local dealers inventory.
You don't have to have a pontoon to post so if you have questions ask away :coffee

Picking up a '04 Sylvan 4 point (I believe with the 2 fishing chairs in front and 2 in the back) Sun Chaser with a Mercury 60 HP 4 stroke. Pics will get on in the next few days, looking forward to it.

Pics delayed, flat tire on trailer, along with failing fuel pump...not fun but I made it. Trailer getting new tires and bearings today (not taking any chances).
