Thanks James, but she's far from done. I still have a ton of small things to do inside but I also got to get my custom graphic wrap, I've been holding out though because I'm also doing a 3rd log and I've been tossing around the idea of changing up the fence rails in the rear to add a lil room. If I do this I want to do it first so my wrap dosent get damaged! I'm just getting started!!!! :nana :nana :nana

I've been working on a custom livewell for a couple days now! After a few fishing trips I've realized that hanging a stringer over the side just wasn't for me! Here's some pics of what I've done.

I mounted the spray nozzle way in the top back corner of the seat, this way I could still use the seat for storage when it's not full of fish!

Image

Herr it is full of water I mounted the nozzle pretty high so I could get a reasonable water depth in the shallow seat base

Image

Here it the drain/ overflow

Image

Image

I had it all finished and I decided I wanter a light in there so I bought a led underwater light from academy. I had to take the seat back up to install it the way I wanted

I didn't get it finished but I will get some pics of it full of water at night with the light on when I'm done! I used silicone to plug the factory holes in the base and The holes that were there where I mounted the seat I siliconed the hole the screwed it down and siliconed it again! I let it sit for a couple days full of water and it didn't leak....should work great!

It lights up the base very good and when the seat is closed it lights up half the floor. It's gonna work awesome for what I need.

I finally got my log risers painted, with my father in law working a turn around at the plant he hasn't had much time to paint for me and when he did it was either raining or super windy. He finally got off work and we had some good weather so we got all my stuff painted!

Here is the before pic

Image

Got it all sanded and prepped, then we started masking everything off

This is the first coat of primer

Here's some after pics

It should look really sharp when I get the logs polished and get my wrap to tie all the colors together. I also painted all my lil parts like the braces for the fence, the gate cups that mount on the floor and the table floor mounts!

Thanks, and Craig you lucky dog pick away! Congrats on the free stuff, I wish that happened to me. I spent about $6,000 at pontoonstuff, I'm still not 100% done with my toon I kinda just stopped working on it and just started using it! I've had a few other projects since then that I've flipped for a profit. I'm currently working on an 18' Lowe flat bottom that I'm taking down to the hull and redoing, center console T-Top custom paint and all new interior it will be a sweet fishing boat when done. I haven't posted it here because I figured no one would be interested!

Do you find that you are having problems with water splashing out of the seat while running up and down the lake? I am planning on having 2 live wells one in each of my lay-back seats.

Great job, I have been following your rebuild and sure I will using a few of your ideals, and yes post all your boats, we like to see all the projects your working on.

As for the free stuff from Pontoon Stuff, I know the dream stage for Craig must be over as he has a big pile of parts, took me a little longer to order as I was redesigning the layout from fish n swim to cruise and swim, but I did get my new steering cable Tuesday and I didn't order till last Friday, our boss thinks it's some kind of trick, he's going to send all that and then send you a bill .

I feel like a lucky dog too, my brother and I were getting ready to start tearing down that very week and start ordering the parts,James timing couldn't have been better, this stuff doesn't happen to me, I'm usually the one who gets the offer, after I done spent the money and have it done.

I was going to ask what you were going to do graphics wise, you have it looking good and didn't figure you were done yet by a long shoot, I haven't painted in 15 years, so we will see how much I remember about painting.

Great ideal on the bait box, lighted and all, I like the paint job on the rub rails and risers, was thinking of doing my rub rails anyway, it's great seeing it done on yours, makes it easier when talking things over with my brother, one picture is worth a thousand words.

Thanks, to answer a few questions I haven't really had any problems with the livewell splashing out with the exception of the shark trip I went on awhile back. It was full of water and the bay was really rough and it would occiasionly splash out. For the normal day to day fishing trips at the lake no problems, it's a good idea to build a set in the lean backs I thought about it but I just needed a bit more room, it would be hard to fit a nice redfish in the leanbacks. Herb ya I never win anything either and if I do it normally very small. As far as graphics, I had planned on the custom wrap (I think I posted a pic) but I was holding off because I wanted to do a 3rd tube and I wanted to mod the stern rails for a bit more room and I needed all that done before I spent $1600 on a wrap. I have been considering buying 3 new tubes with strakes and building my dream toon from scratch but it's still up in the air since I was just thinking today of just doing the 3rd tube again who knows! As far as the paint I'm very happy with it and it's held up very good. My father in law (professional painter) did it for me, he used what is called a wash primer and it's really durable. I think it gave my 21 year old boat a much newer look!

Got my gauges in last night and installed today well almost. They aren't wired yet but they are still in... I got a tach, fuel, trim, water pressure and volt... I'm going to work on the wiring tomorrow because we have some running around to do this evening and might even get a start on installing all my LEDs!

they are not tightened up yet that's why a couple of them are leaning a bit.
