Camper enclosure
Is it a no no to cruise around on a pontoon with the bug screen up if you have a camper enclosure ?
Makes getting underway quicker & less cumbersome if you don't have to unzip & pack it !

Re: Camper enclosure
Thanks. Good to know. Just don't want to get boarded & given the up & down by some Festus wanting to make a name !
Can't afford to pay somebody to make an enclosure for me & start closing the gap by fine$.
I am feeling why they cost so much , labor intensive , very much so. $1500 - 2000 for all the materials & $4000 - 6000 to have one done. Thanks to "Miami corp." for having the materials.
With a big boat I'm trying to make it easier to get going. I started with a 12ft Bimini enclosed with solid walls & front. Kinda like a big mooring cover. Still a lot of snaps ,zippers & Velcro , then stowing away.
Over the winter i'm making the windows sections. It's looking good , stitching may not look the best , thought that would get better , must have something to do with the under sized sewing Mach I'm hammering the crap out of ! I'll try to get some photos but the keyboard is enough challenge for now !

Re: Camper enclosure
Cant wait to see pics. When I needed a new cover, I was sticker shocked. Most companies wanted 2000 plus dollars. Thus I bought a good generic one and retro fitted it myself. Added all the snaps, reinforced it with heavier material in the places that would have a lot of stress. All in all it works great. Probably cost 600-700 bucks all said and done.
