Ok I was able to finish the new storage box and get it on the boat this afternoon.
The box fit great and I was glad to see the gate was still able to swing fully open as I had planned. Even though I planned for it I was still a bit worried until I saw it in place on the boat.
I was pertty nervous cutting in the trash can lid becasue if I messed up with the jig saw I was going to be strating over . It turned out great and the trolling motor , 5 gallon trash can, and storage for "empty" cans works out just right !
The next project will be the under deck color change led's. I will post pics as soon as I get those installed !

You do great work, man!!
I have nothing but the greatest respect for those who can do this.
Just the other day I was working on a project. I cut the board twice and it was still too short.

I agree with Bass.... guys like you just have "that ability" to do things like that... me, not soo much.... my daddy used to tell me that I could tear up a steel ball with a powder puff... shame is, he was right!... Your storage area looks really awesome.... very nice job.

Thanks for the kind words guys ! I just wanted to find a way to hide the new trolling motor I got as a back up. Don't really want to be tripping over it. The trash can and "empty" storage was just an added bonus. I have been in the wood floor buisness for 17 years so thats where I picked up my wood working skills (if you can call them that). I get into doing fancy floors so a project like this is fun to to me beleive it or not ! The best part is I got to work at a bench ,not down on my knees for a change l.o.l.

Wow I have been busy but it's raining so I finally have time to post an update on the boat. I added a set of color changing under rail led's. I was going to go with pure white but found a color chage kit that has 16 colors, fade and flash patterns, and most important the ability to dim them. Even being indirect lighting they are really bright. The light shining on my painted logs looks awsome !
I ended the rope lights at the nose cones and added red and green led's in the same location as the navigation lights. The nose cones now glow the corresponding colors. It adds to the looks at night even with out the rope light. My phone pic doesn't look nearly as good as in person but it gives you the idea.
I already posted this in the boat name thread but since it's a update to the boat here it is again. After three seasons it was more than time for a name !
I have a couple more plans for the boat yet this year so I guess the never ending project continues !!!

What led kit did you get for the color changing setup?

Thanks, crestliner never added polished details though l.o.l. My LEDs came from ebay. They were around $75 I believe. There are a ton listed there ,but I paid more to get them from a guy in the states vs. waiting 6 weeks from hong kong . They shipped super fast out of L.A. and I got what was advertised unlike what can happen when saving a few bucks buying from china. Also I doubt the glue on them is actually 3M so I ran a small bead of clear silicon on each side of the strip to make sure it held. They are still glued on just the same as day one after many hours of being blasted with water !
