props
I HAVE A NEW G3 PONTOON WITH A 60 HP 4 STROKE YAMAHA- I HAVE ALREADY BENT THE ALUMINUM PROP. SHOULD I GET A STAINLESS PROP OR HAVE THE ALUMINUM REPAIRED? I KNOW STAINLESS IS MUCH MORE EXPENSIVE BUT IT WON'T BEND LIKE ALUMINUM. HOWEVER, THE STAINLESS IS SO RIGID WILL IT DAMAGE MY MOTOR IF I HIT A STUMP? WHAT IS BEST?

Re: props
If your concerned with stumps defiantly stay with aluminum.
Also sounds like you need to get a new prop and have the old one repaired for a spare.

Re: props
I would stay with the alum. They do make composite prop that the individual blades can be interchanged

Re: props
I concurr, stay with the aluminum prop. I doubt your 60 had enough oomph to bend that prop, unless it was faulty to begin with. Stainless props are great on bass boats and ski boats with 200+hp. IMHO I don't think OB's under 150 hp warrant a stainless prop.

Re: props
I agree; stay with the aluminum and hope it is the weakest link in the chain. It is easy to get to and change verses having it in the shop waiting for lower end gear case work to be done.
