Painted Logs?

#1 Post by magikat » Sun Jul 19, 2009 7:12 am

Our toon came with the logs painted. Is there any way to remove this paint. I like the shiny silver look myself. They are a ugly beige color.

Paint striper and a lot of work and mess, then after you get them clean you get to polish them, and kept shark hide on them.

What kind of water are you going to be in most of the time, that might change what people tell to do, if your in a water that stains after a few hours the painted one's are going to be on up keep.

Quicker to wax painted one's to polishing your toons every few years, and if your going to leave in the water, wax the hell out of it and leave the paint on.

We're in fresh water most of the time. It won't be sitting in water.

Just curious, is it paint or powder coated. Some manufactures (i.e., Playcraft) are using powder coat which is tough as all git out to remove.
