To everyone that has read my posts on this thread. My responses were over the top and not in good taste. I still don't approve of the Nazi remarks. I should not have responded in the manner that I did. Charles aka Wildcatdude is a war veteran and I feel he deserves a little more respect than to be referred to as a Nazi. This does not excuse my emotional response. I thought I was more mature than that. I was wrong and I apologize to everyone that was involved or read the posts. I'll strive to be a little more mature from now on. :(

pistolpete please enlighten me as to what I am dragging and to where I am dragging it to. Have I talked to you on the other site? If you are trying to blame me for something then just state what I did to you and when. I have been a contributing member here long before you joined and others can assure you that I have no sinister motives. You said I'm dragging my BS over here. You are the one who posted about the site, I simply responded to you and bruuuce. So who would be dragging the BS over here, me or you? Just state clearly what you think I did to you. If I did something to you over there please let me and the others here know so everyone will know just what kind of man I am. I'm not trying to cheat you or rip you off, you've got nothing I want.

Here is the only post you made detailing any problem you had with your merchandise.

"I received my pontoon furniture today, with a few problems. The first box I opened was the counsel, the access panel was shipped with the screws in it -but not attached, which tore holes in the vinyl where it bounced around in shipping. Second were the arm rest, which the rear radius are not correct, they are too small (the radiuses) to fit tight against the rear fence, the cup holders do not match, nor do the access trim rings (black, gray, tan, lite gray). After assembling the flip seat, and reassembling, the back rest is badly out of square, It rubs on one side, and has ample clearance on the other. I haven't received the rear seats, carpet yet, and don't know what to expect with the rest of my order. It took only two days to get here though.Talk about fast shipping! Pete"

You posted it on a discussion forum that has no customer service authority. Here is the response you were given by Rick

"Sorry to hear about your problems with the furniture Pete. I'm sure PontoonStuff will take care of it promptly. Call them directly as was suggested in response to your other post..

877.295.9522"

Here is the response given to you on the same post by Charles.

"Pete, I don't know what you're expecting as customer service rarely if ever read the forums. Call them first thing Monday morning and you'd get a much better response. Otherwise you'd wait for days or get no response at all if you depend on them reading the forums."

I use the name dahogman over there and never responded to you. I don't know how your issue was resolved as I am on the discussion forum. Customer relations is a private matter and that information is not available to me. Customer service is a priority and you will notice that we don't delete the complaints. Other than that as a Moderator I really don't know what you expect from me.

I agree about pontoon stuff, I just received an email that told me to use a different email address cause I was in violation of "THEIR POLICIES" and that I couldn't use my roadrunner account either. Well if I can't use either of those accounts I guess I lose and can't use thier site, wait a minute "IT IS THEY THAT LOSE MY BUSINESS" too bad so sad. :boohoo

I know nothing good comes from beating a dead horse, but I have seen this a few times and wanted to point it out.

If you go to register at pontoonstuff.com this is their "Forum Rules and Policies " that everyone who got deleted agreed to:
If you agree with the following rules then click on the 'Accept' button at the bottom of the page if not click on the 'Cancel' button.

When you register you are required to give a small amount of information, much of which is optional, anything you do give must be considered as becoming public information.

You agree not to use this forum to post any material which is vulgar, defamatory, inaccurate, harassing, hateful, threatening, invading of others privacy, sexually oriented, or violates any laws. You also agree that you will not post any copyrighted material that is not owned by yourself or the owners of these forums.

You remain solely responsible for the content of your messages, and you agree to indemnify and hold harmless this forum and their agents with respect to any claim based upon any post you may make. We also reserve the right to reveal whatever information we know about you in the event of a complaint or legal action arising from any message posted by yourself.

Although messages posted are not the responsibility of this forum and we are not responsible for the content or accuracy of any of these messages, we reserve the right to delete any message for any or no reason whatsoever. If you do find any posts are objectionable then please contact the forum by e-mail.

The Federal Trade Commission's Children's Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998 (COPPA) requires that Web Sites are to obtain parental consent before collecting, using, or disclosing personal information from children under 13. If you are below 13 then you can NOT use this forum. Do NOT register if you are below the age of 13.

By registering to use this forum you meet the above criteria and agree to abide by all of the above rules and policies.
That is the Use Policy that everyone agreed to and is the same one if you go there today you would agree too.

The policy that everyone is being told they are violating isn't a policy it is a post made by the moderator about "Email Verification Problem" and I won't go off on them but registration problems isn't the only problem they have at that message board it is buggier than a motel mattress.

I never read the the "post" because I didn't have any problems getting email from them. For those of you that missed it here is the post:

http://www.pontoonstuff.com/forum/ponto ... 1.asp?PN=1

In there one line says:
We are now currently not allowing new members to use work email addresses (shouldn't be using work email for personal use anyways ). So if you are trying to use .us, .edu or .gov, use what I've recommended above as those are now blocked from being used.
Charles bolded the part in there not me.

This post was dated March 31, 2009 with an edit date of June 20, 2009, for me this was long after I became a new member I joined I think it was 2007 but I could be wrong about my join date.

SOOOO why am I posting this if I don't want to beat a dead horse. I honestly hope that the moderators and admins from pontoonstuff.com who are keeping up on this thread read this and realize, oops a mistake has been made, this guy is right. We deleted these peoples accounts and told them they violated a use policy that didn't "technically" exist. And even if you do consider this "post" a policy it was made in 2009 after my join date and it talks about new members not existing.

Thanks for listening.

Yep, Brady/Tyler/whoever the fuck the current douchebag admin was at PDB would pull the same shit. Make rules, never post them in their TOS and then apply them retroactively. One of the many reasons why there was a mass exodus out of that place.

He got onto a guy who had build some corners for his boat and he comes out of the blue and asks him if he is going to start taking orders for them. He was proud of what he made for his boat and Wildcat turned in completely into something else. The guy NEVER said or implied anything to even suggest he had those intentions and told him he needed to go to PM to resolve it. I guess he is a physic also, know what everyone is thinking. He doesn't want anyone to say anything about products, what you do for a living, etc. if it can be construed to insinuate that you are promoting a product or yourself. I am going to need alot of stuff for my pontoon once I get through this season, but I will not be getting any of it from Pontoonstuff.com. Maybe they think he is doing a bang up job, but at what cost to their company? If a company loses money long enough, they go out of business or they have to start laying off. What is the smart move here?

This was my PM reply to the guy who wanted everyone to see what he built.......

How the hell did that prick Charles think you were taking orders for those cleats?????He is such a nosy prick. He could have pm you to start with instead of putting it out on the board. I think I have had just about enough of his shit on this board. I doubt I will be back again. Anyway, have a good day ...........whether you are selling cleats or not.......

That's Brady Jr for you, hate to talk bad about them because so many of our members still love to go there and try to keep them straight.

As for pontoonstuff they have put out bad products, for their forums, I like to know what people do, I might need advice on what your good at, if your making something handy for the pontoon and want to sell it , good for you.

That's why Mike started this site to give us owners a good place to go and talk without the Image

Hey All,
I normally like to remain neutral on topics like this because I deal with a lot of the manufacturers, dealers, and re salers that you fine folks talk about. But in this case I suffered the same fate as many of you did.
Out of the blue, the moderator from that other site sent me a nasty email stating that my post was being hidden and that I was being warned to stop trying to sell Sharkhide on his site. First of all, I've NEVER tried to sell Sharkhide there, just simply tried to answer questions about my products that others have posted. But that's neither here nor there. He went on to say that since the owner of the site didn't sell my products, I couldn't answer questions about them. When I reminded him that I didn't start any posts about my products, I just answered questions, he quickly responded by throwing me off the site.
So after hearing from a couple other former members there how great and down to earth the owner and his wife were, I thought I'll just chat with them and smooth things out and maybe even see if they're interested in stocking my products. Well, several emails, and phone messages later, they've never even bothered to returned a single message.
It's really dissapointing to see such a good forum be dissmantled member by member. At this rate before too long it's going to be a forum with only one opinion and one source of advice.
Well any way, with that type of treatment I've stoped refering all my customers that direction for interiors and such and now I'm sending them to a different company.
I'll include their link for those that don't know them.
Bye for now,
Clint
