No replacement for displacement is the standard. Good post for you to keep questioning dogma.

No kidding.... I'm so very pleased that I went from the 1 liter 60 HP to the 2.1 liter 75 that it made a true night n day difference taking us from 16 to nearest to 27 with ease. Not that the 60 sounded ragged by any means but the 75 just sounds so strong. I truly can't wait till the grand kids show up for another week tubing; I may just tell the son in law to bring a board for us to try out....

I'm pleased with my top speed on my 90 HP command Thrust Merc

For me it more of the RPMs I'm pulling at that speed 48-5100 rpms. I gave up for the season and will begin again in the spring.
