Long winters nap

#1 Post by Soonertoon » Sat Nov 14, 2015 10:45 pm

]Put the boat down for its long winters nap today. Hate it but also know that spring is closer every day. Great weather, great company and a nice fall afternoon. Filled her full, added stabilizer and took a half hour cruise to mix it all up. I think we saw one other boat.

That's one of the best parts of keeping our boat on the lift at our dock. If we catch a nice day in the winter, we love to get out for a little boat ride. Unfortunately, this summer included 2 rides before motor problems. The boat has spent most of the summer and all of fall so far still at repair shop while they try to figure what is making it go into "limp home" mode. And unfortunately, with our motor being a 2003, it doesn't have the connection to hook it to the computer for complete diagnostics. They can't get the problem to happen when they run it in the tank at the shop - only when they have it out on the lake and then it's hard to sit back there and do any diagnostic work.

If I have to go that route, I'd rather a new tri-toon be connected to that new motor too. So Santa, make extra room on that sleigh of yours :biggrin2
