Going from south bay to avalon?

#1 Post by kytoon14 » Wed Feb 17, 2016 3:39 pm

New to the forum, and just wanted to get some opinions on trading tritoons. I currently have a 2011 southbay 928 slttio with the 350I/O and the Avalon dealer in town is making me a great offer on trading to a 2016 27 quad lounger with a 300 mercury outboard. This is our 2nd southbay, and I have had good luck with the boats, but I have had enough of the dealer. Does anybody have any experience with Avalon?

If you're shopping prices, T&M Marine north of Minneapolis is the largest Avalon dealer there is, and he's online @

They may be the largest pontoon dealer in the country too--with huge inventories.

There's also one in Georgia who seems to have good online prices and much inventory, I believe it's called "A boat house"?

Thanks for all of the input. I decided to go ahead and trade. The Avalon dealer here in town ended up taking 25% off of the MSRP, so I thought that was pretty fair. Plus, if I need any service he is only 30 minutes away.

I think that guy's in Douglasville--30 mi. west of Atlanta going toward Birmingham.
