Good news/bad news

#1 Post by ron nh » Mon Mar 28, 2016 11:35 am

So the good news is I was full of energy Saturday and decided to clean out the basement, Went thru everything down there, made a few trips to the dump. I was feeling so productive I thought I would un-wrap the boat, All good, nice and clean, hooked up battery. look around for the seat covers that I put in a bag in the BASEMENT in fall. Yep, through the F-ING seat covers away. Like an A-HOLE I used the same type of bag that I use for trash. I have a cover for the yard, but when I go on longish trips I use the seat covers to keep the highway crap off the seats. That's what I get for feeling energetic.

Like that has never happened to me! I have done this several times over the years. Always kick myself at first then laugh about it.

OK, I have to come clean, apparently I'm a real slow learner, I've done that with her clothes before as well, Some how it didn't effect me as much then.

We're in the process of moving, and a lot of things are disappearing. If we have not seen or used anything in the last 13 years, we don't really need it anyway.

It's a shame that we have to move every 10-12 years to clean the old stuff out of our house. But 2 double car garages was too good to pass up--with 8' tall doors and 10 and 13' ceilings in the garages. A couple of cars may actually see the inside of the garages for the first time in their lives.

Me too, couple years ago for Christmas I got my wife a scarf that she really wanted. You know the drill, everyone opening stuff with grandkids and all was making a mess. Wife had put the scarf back in the box to put away later. In my haste to clean up I accidentally threw it away. Took me 3 weeks to find another one just like it and have it shipped. I look in boxes now!

I've never understood that. But then I was an Air Force Brat and we moved often enough we never accumulated that much stuff.

Cars always went in the garage if we had one and I'm that way to this day.

Good luck with your new digs.

Hopefully you'll get moved with everything you need and nothing disappears that you wanted or needed to keep.
