Trailer Valet

Just wondering if anyone uses one of these Trailer jacks? https://www.trailervalet.com/

I could sure use one to get my pontoon boat on a tandem axle trailer in a tight spot close to my garage wall. I thought I would be able to man handle that thing into place like I did with my smaller single axle trailer, but the tandems twist and it wants to go right back to the same spot I pushed it from. It is not feasible for me to back it into position as I'd hate to hit the wall or worse yet the motor in the back.

How about them real low wheeled platforms you put under the wheels of a car? A little time and labor but then you could back in garage, place platforms under the wheels and then push right up against the wall till its 1" off....

Never thought about those. But 4 of the $100 ones will cost more than the Trailer Valet. I wouldn't consider the other cheaper dollies.

Have a neighbor with a similar situation to you. He bought one for his boat and seems to do real well with it. His boat is 18 ft V haul but weight as long as you are within the specs of the product it should work out well for ya. I know it allows him to be very precise.

I think you only need (2) Once it is up on both sides it will act like a single axle trailer and not twist back.

Good point, can anyone confirm if those harbor freight dollies (the nicer ones with the foot lift) would actually pick up one axle high enough to lift the other wheels of the ground?

Why not just use a floor jack to lift the trailer off the ground and slip two dollies under the wheels? Don't forget 20% off coupons at Harbor Freight are everywhere. At the current price it would be $48.00 to move your trailer over...

I agree, BUT, it's not like you're going to be moving it back and forth all the time. My bet is they will survive the short roll on smooth concrete.

Worst case scenario you have to go back through the line with another 20% discount coupon and you've increased the load to 3 tons for under a C note.

I bought this trailer dolly early last season... best purchase I've made in a long time.. makes it soooo easy to maneuver my boat into tight spaces... not cheap, I think it was around 189.00 or close to it, but this thing really makes moving the boat almost effortless..... I highly recommend this dolly.

I just got done moving my old Premier to the other side of the boat shop to make room for the Manitou, tomorrow. I used 4 dollies under the tires and a floor jack to move it. I sold the Premier last night, (YEAH) but her new owner can't pick it up for a few weeks, so I'm storing her for him. Will be cool to see the new boat next to her tomorrow night!

Nope, you have to support all 4.... I just found out the hard way..... Those leaf springs do flex alot!

The best investment I ever made for parking a trailer anywhere was a front hitch on my pickup. 80 bucks installed and I can put either of my boats anywhere I want. Short of a 90 degree turn just about anything else can be achieved.
I added a short cord and connector to deactivate the trailer brakes while backing up and lighting the running lights on the trailer. The beauty of this setup is that you can see where your going.

Gotta admit that the truck does get some strange looks when I'm at WAWA for coffee.
