We put a 1996 75hp 2-stroke mariner on our 1994 20' Playbuoy at the end of last summer (upgrade from a 40hp).

I did the GPS speedo on my phone and we got it up to 24mph... I thought that was pretty good for a 20+ year old boat and motor

I got a new fish-finder with GPS for it this year so I will be able to see how it does with a load once we get it in the water memorial day.

Hoping we can pull some kids on tubes this summer with it

I haven't done a test on our family's 1985 24' flote-bote with the 2014 90hp 4 stroke Yamaha.. but I a guessing it is in the 22-28mph...

I just put or new 27ft Avalon in the water for the first time this past weekend. With 4 people and right around 40 gallons of gas we hit 46mp on the GPS.

I posted my speed before and was told by the experts I was exaggerating a little, but I will post again. This is 23' Cypress Cay Seabreeze with a 90hp Merc 4 stroke, just me, full fishing gear, 3/4 fuel.
