I took a look at the pumps again today and I found that the price was still $3.889. The last person to use it pumped 10 gallon and the total sale display was almost $50. I went in and mentioned it to them. They said they were sorry and the price is supposed to be $3.889 and the pumps were not changed correctly other than the price per gallon display. She asked how I would like my refund. I told her I didn't expect a refund, but I just wanted to bring it to their attention.
She gave me the credit and I thanked her very much. Nice place!

Sure, she's going to be nice and refund the overage when you pointed it out because what they are doing is ILLEGAL but not at all uncommon. There should be a number posted on the pump to complain to the state commission that regulates such. Think how much they can make in a season by gouging.
I'll now start paying attention when they gas me up. I've not been looking at the pump and just trust that they are charging and billing me the correct amount. They simply write in on a piece of paper and tack it onto my monthly storage bill.

I've got to admit this is where I would be too. How many sales per day x 7 days since you noticed? No frigging way your the first to notice they have been overcharged....TDJ2591 wrote:Sure, she's going to be nice and refund the overage when you pointed it out because what they are doing is ILLEGAL but not at all uncommon. Well, that's on them. I have to sleep at night and what they do (or don't do) shouldn't affect my sleep.
I would guess that the number of sales might not have been too many. Only a guess. Weather for that week wasn't what I would call boating weather. She could look up my previous sale, but I used a credit card. I don't know if they track cash sales with detail enough to issue refunds to all sales.
They seem upfront on other items we discussed, so I bet they will refund....

Slightly off topic but related...
I've only filled up at a Marina once and that was on a waverunner..
What is the tipping policy?
Is it %? Or is it a couple bucks?
Like 2-3 or 5-8 or more?

At Lake of the Ozarks it depends on the time it takes to serve you and the amount of cleavage shown...thepezident wrote:Slightly off topic but related...
