Subwoofer location
Any thoughts on where to install the sub? Or maybe more importantly, where not to?

Re: Subwoofer location
It would be where you have the room. It depends on the size of subwoofer as well as well as where it will fit. Are you looking to build an enclosure or mount the speaker in an existing location? Keep in mind an amp will need to be mounted to power it as well so it will need room also.
I've seen people mount a sub under the steering console or under a seat if there is room. Main thing is when you select a location, you want to keep it away from the elements.

Mine is under the starboard console. Booms right through it.

Re: Subwoofer location
I'm thinking of sticking it in this dead space frame on the left that houses the gas tank. I'm wondering if it will rattle the hell out of my fencing?

I made an enclosure using the outside walls (fence) of the toon. It does in fact make it rattle. It sounds like a loose license plate frame on a Honda Civic with a sub.

Re: Subwoofer location
I mounted this 10" Kenwood subwoofer in the front of my console. I bought the largest, thickest plastic (?) cutting board I could find (Starboard may have been better but I didn't have a source) then glued it inside the console with 3M 5200 to stiffen the Fiberglass and hopefully dampen the vibrations. I mounted the speaker thru the console and backing and then mounted the amplifier inside the console.

Re: Subwoofer location
is that the Kenwood that comes with a small Class D amp? I've been looking at adding one of those to my setup.
